I said that I’ll still be there for you as friend

I’m truly okay, it just makes me wonder about you said

Gotta shake it off cos it was just another passing feeling

Another guy in the world who’s words were misleading

but I admit that I still think of what we coulda had

it was silly of me cos me and you, were just another fad

this time around I didn’t shed a single tear

it made me stronger and made my vision clear

the memories are fading and now the feelings are gone

cause in the end of the day it was all said and done

my guard is back up and it’s never going back down

my heart is locked with a key and it will never be found

I’m back where I started, just me, myself and i

I have a better sense now and won’t easily fall for lies

But now you’ve moved on and I guess now it’s my turn

I don’t regret it at all cos it was just another lesson learned

when i say I was jealous and you would say it's okay
that you would still be mine by the end of the day?
But then my fantasy was broken and reality came
destroying everything and stopping it was all in vain
I started to second guess if this was all really worth it
Thinking back when you said you were ready commit
One night I called you but I just hung up instead
it didn’t feel right anymore so I just went to bed
then the next day I asked if something was wrong
you said you lost faith in what we had cos I was gone too long
you kept repeating that you didn’t mean to fall for another girl
that you were sorry cos now she’s the only one in your world
it’s funny cause i kinda saw that this was gonna happen
I chose to ignore it all and once again I’m here heart broken
you use to say I was proper and the one that you could wife
you’re using the same words to her and it cuts me like a knife
